Ghana Center Amida Brimah has registered a double double in Austin Spurs 102-95 win over Greensboro Swarm in the NBA Gatorade League.
Brimah dropped a 13 point, 12 rebound showing in Spurs fourth win of the season in eight games moving the side to eighth in the Western Conference standings.
The former University of Connecticut Captain played 33 minutes off the bench and added a game high four blocks and two assists.
Amida scored six of nine attempts from the field, did not attempt any three point shot but scored just one of seven attempts from the free throw line.
Beating Greensboro is a big step forward for Austin as the Texas based team tries to shake off a disappointing start to the season.
The loss is Swarm’s second of the season in six games and the club drops to second in the Eastern Conference standings as a result behind Long Island Nets.
Last season’s league winners Spurs play Maine Red Claws on Friday, November 23.
