Our Lady of Grace Senior High School Headmaster Stephen Anokye has expressed his views on education which he believes shouldn’t be restricted to “book work”.

He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com when this year’s Ashanti Regional Basketball Qualifiers for the next Sprite Ball were held at the institution based in Mamponteng.

Despite not participating in the competition, Our Lady of Grace was an excellent host of 16 schools in the Ashanti Region for the final round of qualifiers.

The institution’s two basketball courts, top security and ample space provided the perfect setting for the games featuring national championship winning schools.

Asked of the reasons behind his institution’s decision to host the competition, the veteran Educationist stated:

“We believe schooling and education is not only about book work… we have our sports complex made up of various disciplines; a very good tennis court, very good basketball courts. We are introducing the game to our students…in one term you will see us there”.

Our Lady of Grace Senior High School is a Catholic Mission Private Senior High School which was opened in 2013.
