Kumasi Girls Senior High School Basketball Coach Reverend Zibo Brown has stated emphatically there will be losses for his side under his watch.
He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com after guiding Kumasi Girls to a 19-12 win over St. Louis Senior High School in the final game of this year’s Ashanti Regional Qualifiers.
The win means Kumasi Girls successfully defends its title while qualifying to the January, 2019 edition of the Sprite Ball Championship with St. Louis.
Under his guidance, Brown has turned Kumasi Girls into a national powerhouse following the team’s win at the 2018 Sprite Ball courtesy a 30-29 overtime win over Accra Wesley Girls High School.
In the aftermath of his latest conquest, Brown said, “I have said before that whenever I am on the bench, we are winning and we are winning again.”
Kumasi Girls would attempt to defend its national title next year and try to emulate rival T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School’s heroics in 2014 and 2015.
