Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints and Barracks Scorpions struggles in the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League season has been extended following losses in the last round of games played.

Both teams missed out on wins in Week 3 after Saints lost 14-34 to Young Boys and Barracks Scorpions lost heavily to Suncity Braves via a 7-76 loss.

The games were played at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani with Scorpions loss to defending champions Scorpions being the heaviest recorded.

Scorpions and Saints have been long term participants in the league since its commencement in 2015 but have had a poor start to the season.

On the other hand, new entrants Spartans, Young Boys and Techiman Merchants are experiencing a good run in the league.

Spartans and Young Boys rank in the top five places in the standings with Spartans falling in second behind leaders Suncity Braves and Spartans are yet to lose a game this season.

Sunyani Technical University piped West Siders 34-33, Desert Rabbits beat Merchants 38-31 and Spartans beat LIR Royals 50-29.
