Suncity Braves and Spartans lead the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League standings heading to Week 3 of the recently commenced season.
The two teams have won both games in the league giving them four maximum points. However, Braves takes the number one spot due to a superior goal difference.
Over the past weekend, defending champions Braves didn’t need a 40 minute production to cement its tag as the team to beat in the league as its opponent did not show up.
One of three new sides in the league, Young Boys, forfeited the game leaving Braves with a 20-0 win and its second victory in as many games.
Spartans have made a splendid start to life in the league with back to back wins including a 33-30 victory over seasoned campaigners Desert Rabbits.
