The second edition of 3×3 basketball’s flagship competition in Africa-the FIBA 3X3 Africa Cup- takes place from November 9-11 in Lome, Togo.
This year’s competition features 12 teams in the Male and Female Divisions with Nigeria and Mali as defending champions.
Prior to the two day tournament, participating nations have been drawn into four groups with three nations in each group in each division.
Ghana missed out on a spot in the Male Division but secured a spot in the Female Division and has been grouped in Group C.
The West African nation has been drawn in the group with Africa’s top ranked nation Uganda and fellow sub region nation Cape-Verde.
Group B has Benin, Egypt and Nigeria, Group C has Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali and Group D has Burkina Faso, Niger and Togo.
In the Male Division, reigning champions Nigeria are in a tough Group C alongside Uganda and Cape-Verde. Below is the full breakdown of the groups in both divisions:
Male table
Pool A: Egypt, Mali, Benin.
Pool B: Ivory Coast, Mauritania, DRC.
Pool C: Uganda, Nigeria, Cape Verde.
Pool D: Burkina-Faso, Madagascar, Togo.
Female table
Pool A: Cape Verde, Ghana, Uganda.
Pool B: Benin, Egypt, Nigeria.
Pool C: Ivory Coast, DRC, Mali
Pool D: Burkina-Faso, Niger, Togo.
