The long road to a successful title defense of the Sprite Ball Championship continues for defending champions Kumasi Girls High School this weekend.

Kumasi Girls will be playing in the final round of qualifiers in the Ashanti Region on Friday, November 9 at the Our Lady of Grace Senior High School.

The team will be contending for a spot at the next Sprite Ball Championship in January, 2019 at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Kumasi Girls won last year’s regional title before moving on to beat Accra Wesley Girls High School at the national level for its maiden Sprite Ball trophy.

Ahead of the regional games, former two time Sprite Ball winners T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School crashing out at the zonal level.

Tepa Senior High School and Kumasi Wesley Girls High School qualified at T.I. Ahmadiyya’s expense for a chance to play in Accra next year.

The division also has the likes of St. Louis Girls Senior High School and Adventist Senior High School competing.
