The Ashanti regional qualifiers for the next edition of the Sprite Ball Championship will be held at the Our Lady of Grace Senior High School in Mampongteng on Friday, November 9.
This is the first time the High School has been chosen as host of the qualifiers of the prestigious national competition due to be held in Accra next year at the El-Wak Stadium.
The Catholic Second Cycle Institution has emerged as one of the top emerging High Schools in the region and country. Hosting the qualifiers offers a unique way to announce its intent on building an elite basketball program.
Our Lady of Grace boasts some of the best basketball facilities with two new basketball courts and is revving to host the best basketball programs in the Ashanti Region this weekend.
Eight schools in the Boys and Girls Division will compete for slots at the national competition with Opoku Ware School and Kumasi Girls High School as defending champions respectively.
Kumasi Girls doubles as defending national champions beating Accra Wesley Girls High School 30-29 in overtime in January this year.
