Brimah and Derrick White with G League title
Ghana Center Amida Brimah has recorded a double- double in Austin Spurs 2018-2019 season opener in the NBA Gatorade League.

Brimah recorded a 20 point, 10 rebound performance in Spurs 120-126 loss to Texas Legends as the defending champions fell in the first game of the season.

The former University of Connecticut Captain’s production was impressive given he played just 25 minutes off the bench.

He added an assist and blocked shot to his stat line in a game he converted 10 of 13 field goals and grabbed five rebounds on offense and defense respectively.

Brimah is returning to last season’s league winners after missing out on San Antonio Spurs roster for the NBA season and his night got off to a good start as he was presented with his ring for helping Austin win the 2017-2018 title.

Fellow returnees Julian Washburn and Jaron Blossomgame had excellent nights scoring 23 and 31 points respectively. However, the trio’s efforts was not enough as Texas’ Daryl Macon’s 35 point display powered Legends to victory.
