Speaking in an interview on basketball program “Courtside” which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports, League Representative Prince Owusu laid out his thoughts on the participating teams.
Nungua Coldstore plays Tema Community2 in the opening semifinal game at 16:30 GMT before Tema Heat plays Francophone Stars. Both games will be played at the Tema Community 4 Court.
Regarding Heat, Owusu stated, “This team has been a shock I should say because with all these old guys I might think that they might not be so quick. They came out on top 2-1 (in the first round against Teshie Rangers) Teshie Rangers in their first game, they were very fantastic but when the experience came to play, Tema Heat just showed them that big boys are in town”.
Heat has a veteran laden roster headlined by Patrick Gomerli and Fred Yeboah with a touch of young blood in Guards Philip Barley and Andrews Ayienab.
