Tudu Galaxy has registered its maiden win in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II in emphatic fashion at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The home side blasted through Teshie Rangers with a 101-56 win in the first of three games played earlier tonight at the venue.
Rangers poor performance was directly to the team’s shortage of bodies as just five players turned up for the game. between the bottom dwellers in the league.
Teshie Rangers Tudu Galaxy trailed 8-25 after first quarter. Galaxy struggled with its shot early in the second quarter as Rangers fared better to close the deficit to five (33-38) midway. However, Tudu ended on a better note to lead 41-31 at the end of the first half.
Rangers shorthanded side started to wilt away in the second half as tired Teshie limbs couldn’t cope with the deep and quick Galaxy side. Tudu led 68-52 at the end of the third quarter.
Galaxy Guard Raymond Affram delivered the play of the day finding his teammate with a behind the back pass to make the score 74-52.
Rangers, who had just five players available for selection, ended the game with two on the court due to foul trouble en route to the biggest loss of the season thus far.
On Friday, November 2 Junior Reformers lost 67-89 to Ada Knights while Swanlakers lost 46-50 to Novas Academy.
