Kumasi Girls Captain Hannah Boahemaa receives trophy.

Headmaster of the Our Lady of Grace Senior High School in Mamponteng Stephen Anokye has emphatically stated his institution’s willingness to hand out athletic and academic scholarships to students.

In an interview with Basketballghana.com, Headmaster Anokye made the remark as Our Lady of Grace builds up its sports department starting off by hosting this year’s Ashanti Regional Basketball qualifiers which was won by Opoku Ware School and Kumasi Girls Senior High School in the Boys and Girls Divisions respectively.

Asked whether the institution offers scholarship packages to student-athletes, Headmaster Anokye said:

“We do with enthusiasm. We offer scholarships to all manner of students who do well in any discipline academic, sports, whatever, if you excel, you have scholarship. When a student has the minimum pass to enter and prove yourself to be a capable sports person, you will have scholarship grant”.

His comments were reiterated by the school’s Local Manager Rev. Father Sylvester Frimpong who stated the school stands for “quality” and “service to humanity”.

Our Lady of Grace is taking steps to build up teams for various sports disciplines for the young school.
