The GSP Basketball League defending champions Suncity Braves will be in action in the opening round of games in the 2018-2019 season on Saturday, October 27.
Last season’s winners take on Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints at the Eusbett Court in the first game of its title defense campaign.
Braves won last year’s league title after then defending champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) failed to win on the final day of play.
UENR will not participate in the new season which tips off this weekend due to yet to be known reasons from the tertiary institution team.
Braves will be looking forward to successfully defending its title this season after failing to do so after winning the 2015-2016 season.
CUCG Saints finished in the bottom two in last season’s standings and are the minnows heading to the matchup. Unlike previous seasons, this year’s competition features ten teams in the division.
Desert Rabbits placed third last season and take on West Siders.
