Three spots at the next FIBA World Cup remain for African nations to battle for as the next round of qualifiers draws closer.
The next qualifiers on the continent have been slated to take place from November 30 to December 2 in Luanda, Angola after the Central African country was named host recently.
African Champions Angola and silver medalist at the 2017 African Nations Championship, Nigeria have qualified to China in 2019 ahead of the qualifiers this month.
For the first time in World Cup history, African has five slots leaving more spots available for nations on the continent to contend.
In Group E, Angola and Egypt are the closest nations to securing a place at the world event behind Tunisia. Angola has 15 points while Tunisia has 14 points ahead of the next qualifiers.
West African powerhouse Senegal is tipped to join Nigeria as qualified nations from Group F as Senegal has 16 points behind Nigeria’s 18 points.
Central African Republic is third with 13 points.
