The next round of African qualifiers for the FIBA 2019 World Cup will take place from November 20 to December 2 in Luanda, Angola.
This is the latter rounds of Africa’s qualifiers for next year’s world event which takes place in China with Nigeria and Tunisia already qualified.
African Champions Tunisia and runners up Nigeria booked their places in China with two games to spare after winning the previous six games.
Three slots remain for the continent in the expanded format of the World Cup which has 32 participating teams for the first time in the competition’s history.
Angola was named host recently and would be aiming to capitalize on its enthusiastic home fans to qualify to China next year.
The host and Senegal are in strong contention for a place in the Asian country as both countries need at least a win in the next three games.
Surprise package Central African Republic are in the mix with Ivory Coast, Mali and North African giant Egypt.
