The 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II has officially ended with games in the lower division a few hours away from commencement.
The Division II new campaign has ten teams competing for qualifying places to the elite division; last season had Ghana Police Service, Reformers of Prisons and Navy Warriors gain promotion and all three teams stayed put in the just ended Division I.
Braves of Customs retained the title with little fuss as it swept aside all competition to win all 16 games in the past season. The closest Customs came close to a loss was nail biting narrow win over Adenta Leopards.
Adenta stepped up this season to rise to second place which is a big achievement for a club that joined the division a couple of seasons back.
Tema Youth ranked third behind Adenta despite having the same point build up; Leopards recorded a better goal difference.
DC Dynamics lost all 16 games to finish bottom and Prisons found life back in the top division tough as the side recorded just four wins in 16 games. Below is a full breakdown of the end of season standings:
