Nigeria Center Festus Ezeli has plans on returning to the NBA after two seasons out of the league due to a persistent knee injury.

The 2012 draftee played the first four years of his career with Golden State Warriors before signing as a free agent for Portland Trailblazers.

However, his time at Portland was marred with injury as he could not recover in time to play the 2016-2017 season after surgery.

He missed out on last season as he continued to rehab his surgically repaired knee after getting waived by Portland. His second season was not guaranteed but made $7 million in the first year of his deal.

Should he return and find a new NBA team, the 6 foot 11 inch Center would join the rank of African players in the world’s best basketball league.

Ezeli won the 2014-2015 season NBA Championship with the Warriors and has been heavily linked to play for Nigeria’s Senior Male Basketball Team-D’Tigers for a while in recent years.
