Nigeria Women’s 3×3 Basketball Team Guard Nkechi Akashili has pointed out the immense depth in the upcoming FIBA 3X3 Basketball Championship.

She made the statement in an interview with FIBA ahead of the competition which takes place from November 9-11 in Lome, Togo.

Nigeria placed second in the 2017 African Championship finishing behind West African rival Mali in the competition; Both nations have qualified to play in next month’s competition.

Ghana will be in action in November after sealing qualification at the Zone 3 Championship held in Benin’s capital, Cotonou in September.

“All the teams that qualify for the Final Round are good enough for the title, and for us that is a reason not to underrate them. We will take our games one after the other even as we have our eyes set on winning the title. We want as much as possible to reward our federation for their investment in the game of 3×3” Akashili stated.

The 5 foot 7 inch Guard recently played in the Women’s World Cup held in Spain.
