Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has experienced a very good start to life in the Greek A1 Basketball League scoring double digit points in two appearances.
His form is reflective of the team’s overall performance this season on its return to the elite division; Peristeri won the A2 Division last season to gain promotion.
The team has two wins in two appearances this season beating Prometheas 76-73 away from home this past weekend after an 83-80 win over Kolossos in the opening round.
Peristeri GS is scheduled to play Holargos on Saturday October 20 in its third game this season; the former ranks second in the 14 team division.
Giants Olympiakos and Panathiniakos lead the standings also two wins but a better goal difference puts them ahead of Bentil’s team.
The three teams are the remaining sides in the league yet to taste defeat this season; fourth placed AEK Athens and seven other teams have a win in two games.
Peristeri’s form is a good omen to Bentil who featured last season for lowly ranked teams in France and Spain.
