Ollenu drives past Abubakar

Braves of Customs have ended the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I on top after clinching its 16th win earlier tonight.

In a game against Reformers of Prisons at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Braves walked away with an 85-48 win to lead the standings.

This gives Braves a perfect record of winning all games played this season as it reportedly prepares for international competitions in the coming weeks.

At the other end of the division’s form guide, DC Dynamics ended the campaign in ninth place with no wins in 16 games this season.

Braves were largely untroubled throughout the contest and the loss keeps Reformers a spot above Dynamics. Prisons source of consistent production came from its young duo of Philip Barley and Amos Ollenu.

The pair combined beautifully for a three point shot to make score Reformers 33-48 Braves in the third quarter. Braves responded with eight straight points as Daniel Aryee, Suleiman Abubakar and Abdul Mutaleeb Alhassan scoring. Abubakar added a rare three point shot to stretch Braves lead. As the third quarter ended 59-35 for Braves.

Alhassan opened the final quarter with a three point shot to stretch lead to 73-40. Braves scored more from three point range to win 85-48.
