Ghana Forward and former Boston Celtics draft pick Ben Bentil is set to be in action this weekend in the Greek A1 Basketball League.
Bentil’s new team Peristeri will be in action on Saturday October 13 away from home against Prometheas in the second week of the 2018-2019 season.
Both teams recorded wins in the opening round while scoring 83 points in the respective wins over AEK Athens and Kolossos HH.
Peristeri beat AEK 83-80 in a closely contested game but Prometheas had a straight forward 83-68 win over Kolossos as the visiting team.
The win came via Peristeri’s maiden game on its return to the division and was Bentil’s debut game after signing with the team early in September.
The former Dallas Mavericks and Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers player scored 16 points and gathered two rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.
Bentil has made a great start in Greece as he seeks to rebuild his value after stuttering stints in France and Spain last season.
