The 2018 Tema Community Basketball League Regular Season has come to an end ushering in the postseason which begins on Sunday October 14 at the Tema Community 4 Court.
This year’s regular season lasted 24 weeks and ended over the weekend with the final three fixtures honored at the aforementioned venue.
With seedings all but sorted long before the past weekend games, the main attraction regarding seeds was the battle for fourth and fifth place.
Three teams, Tema Community 4, Tema Community 2 and Francophone Stars, jostled for positions in the top five places on the standings.
However, debutant Francophone Stars scored a win in the final round to clinch the fourth seed ahead of defending champions Community 4 who settled for fifth place.
Goal difference was the determining factor as Francophone registered +6 goals while Community 4 registered -6 goals.
Community 2 ended the season in sixth place with Teshie Vikings and Teshie Rangers in seventh and eighth place respectively.
Nungua Coldstore, Ashaiman Lions and Tema Heat sealed the top three seeds in respective order. Below is the division standings:
