There are few signs the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League will commence anytime soon after a lengthy delay in the past weeks.
The league was scheduled to tip off last month on September 22 but heading to a fortnight, no new date has been set after the initial postponement.
In an interview with Basketballghana.com, GSP Public Relations Officer Daniel Addo identified jersey issues and player registration as the major hold ups.
He stated teams were still in the process of finalizing details with regards to their respective strips and rosters for the season.
The league’s original schedule fixed the end of the first round on December 16 and the date of recommencement on February 9.
The season was scheduled to end on May 18 to determine the winning team; unlike previous editions, the league looked ready to roll out a ten team roster.
In prior seasons, the GSP League has had eight teams compete for the title with Suncity Braves winning on two occasions.
