The third Giants of Africa (GOA) Camp for young players in Ghana will be held later this month according to information reaching Basketballghana.com
This year’s edition marks the third time, the highly regarded camp will be held in the West African nation following similar ones in 2015 and 2016.
The upcoming program will be held from Friday, October 12 to Sunday October 14 in Prestea in Ghana’s Western Region.
This will be the first camp to be held outside the nation’s capital, Accra with Prestea set to host 54 selected young players from several locations in the country.
Down to financial help provided by mining company Golden Star Resources, the camp will be held at a newly built basketball and recreational facility in the Western Region town.
GOA organizes annual camps in cities and towns on the African continent with the aim of providing facilities and the right training to young individuals.
The private organization was set up by Toronto Raptors Manager Masai Ujiri.
