Ghana Forward Ben Bentil recently joined Greece side Peristeri after ditching an invitation to Milwaukee Bucks training camp earlier this month.
The former Dallas Mavericks combo Forward returns to Europe by signing for the Greek side after playing in France and Spain last season.
Bentil played for French Pro A side Chalons Champagne-Reims before moving to Spain’s Bilbao Athletic midway through the season.
By signing for newly promoted Peristeri, the first Ghana born player to be drafted into the NBA joins six other foreign nationals on the team.
Persiteri has seven foreign nationals on its 17 man roster with the remaining ten spots filled by Greek players to meet roster requirements.
American players dominate the foreign contingent on the roster with four players including Center Jeff Allen and Point Guard Ryan Harrow.
Bentil will be hoping for a better stint with the side after failing to hold down a permanent spot on Bilbao’s roster. Bentil was drafted 51st overall in the 2016 NBA Draft by Boston Celtics.
