The African Champions 57-56 win over Greece proved enough to get Nigeria through to the quarterfinals; Nigeria had recorded two wins prior to the game against Greece.
France lost 65-86 to Belgium in the all European clash on Friday and takes on Nigeria with a higher classification rank at stake.
China and Canada missed out respective quarterfinal wins to Australia and Spain and face off tonight with semifinal games due to follow.
