San Antonio Spurs staff has been busy touching up the team’s roster for training camp in recent days with a host of activities highlighting its business.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract but was waived over the weekend just before Media Day on Monday, September 24. Had he not been waived, Brimah would have been on the team’s two way contract.
The bizarre streak continues as three players signed in the aftermath of Brimah’s cut have also been let go by San Antonio.
Olivier Hanlan, Julian Washburn and Josh Huestis have been cut from Spurs roster which stands at 19 including Jaron Blossomgame.
Brimah played with Blossomgame for San Antonio’s side in the Gatorade League-Austin Spurs- en route to winning the league title.
Nick Johnson played for Austin last season and remains on the roster with Blossomgame as Spurs prepare for preseason games.
Amida won the National College Championship at University of Connecticut and after ending Austin’s season on a high note, he played for Partizan NIS in Serbia.
