Preparations for the 2018-2019 NBA season continues as teams get ready to start training camp but on the eve of the new season, Ghanaian players have been hit with contrasting fortunes.
Center Amida Brimah was recently cut from San Antonio Spurs training roster following the signings of Jarron Blossomgame and Okaro White.
Brimah featured in Spurs preseason last season before he was assigned to the team’s development side in the Gatorade League-Austin Spurs.
He starred for Austin leading the league in blocks and helped the side win the G League title before rounding up his season in the Serbian playoffs with Partizan NIS.
On the other hand, Forward Ben Bentil is heading to Milwaukee Bucks training camp after receiving an invitation to the Bucks Camp.
This comes as a major relief to the first Ghana born player to be drafted into the NBA and feature in the NBA after his short stint with Dallas Mavericks.
Since turning pro in 2016, Bentil has bounced around playing for several teams including European teams Chalons-Reims in France and Bilbao Basket in Spain.
