The maiden edition of the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament ends tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu after over a week of tough competitive games.

In the Women’s Division, Braves of Customs play Ghana Police Service in the final as Reformers of Prisons battle Dunk Knights for third place.

In the Men’s Division, Adenta Leopards play Navy Warriors for the chance to win gold as Tema Youth and CYO face off in the third place game.

The competition commenced on Saturday, September 14 on what would have been the 55th birthday of former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi.

Baafi, a Dedication and Valor prize winner at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards passed away little over a year ago after battling illness.

The tournament featured eight teams in the Men’s Division and six teams in the Women’s Division in a series of group phase fixtures.

The winners stand the chance of clinching the trophy at stake and 1000 Ghana Cedis. A series of exhibition games will be played prior to the big fixtures.
