Ghana Center Amida Brimah has been waived by San Antonio Spurs days leading up to the start of training camp Basketballghana.com gathers.
San Antonio has been busy finalizing the training camp roster ahead of preseason games and recently signed Brimah.
However, the team followed it up by signing Olivier Hanlan, Julian Washburn, Jaron Blossomgame and Okaro White ahead of preseason games.
Brimah was let go earlier tonight according to CBS Sports making the second straight season the former University of Connecticut Captain has missed out on Spurs main team.
Last season, he featured for San Antonio’s side in the Gatorade League-Austin Spurs-and helped the team win the league while leading the division in blocks.
His next move after news broke of the cut is yet to be known though he is likely to score a training camp invitation with another NBA team.
After graduating from Connecticut last year, Brimah concluded his first professional season in Serbia with Partizan Belgrade NIS and featured in the Serbian playoffs.
