Ghana Police Service has sealed its spot in the final game of the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament by clinching a 31-18 win over Reformers of Prisons.
The game was played at the Lebanon Court in Tudu earlier this evening in the first game of the Women’s Division semifinals.
Aside guaranteeing Police a major chance to win the tournament, the win extends the team’s winning run in the 2018 campaign.
Police is yet to lose a game in 11 appearances across the Accra Basketball League (ABL) and three fixtures in CAP 7.
Police beat Tudu Galaxy 35-21 and Ghana Fire Service 63-35 in the opening round prior to the clash earlier tonight. Police takes on the winner between Braves of Customs and home side Galaxy.
That game takes place tomorrow ahead of semifinal games in the Men’s Division. The competition, which commenced on September 14 ends on Saturday.
CAP 7 has been put together to honour former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi who is a Dedication and Valor Prize winner at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards.
