Ghana Center Amida Brimah has signed an Exhibit 10 deal with San Antonio Spurs per information reaching Basketballghana.com
The deal comes with few days to go for the start of training camp for NBA teams as the 2018-2019 season approaches; the new season tips off on October 16.
This means Brimah will be offered a two way contract should he remain on Spurs roster when the season tips off. A two way contract allows him to play for San Antonio and its development side in the Gatorade League- Austin Spurs.
Brimah featured for Austin last season and helped the team win the Gatorade League title while leading the league in blocks. He was named to the All Defensive Team for his efforts.
The former University of Connecticut Captain joined Partizan NIS in the Serbian League and featured in 13 games including a semifinal playoff run.
Should he make the roster, the 6 foot 11 inch defender will be the second Ghana born player to do so in the NBA.
