Rifes v Francophone (black)
Coldstore v Heat (white)

Nungua Coldstore and Akatsi Rifles Lead Guards Kontor Appiah and Makafui Agudzumegah were the standout performers against Francophone Stars and Tema Heat respectively in the Tema Community Basketball League.

The duo was the driving force behind their team’s victories in Week 21 of the 2018 league campaign which took place at the Tema Community 4 Court.

Akatsi Rifles trailed Francophone Stars 19-24 at the end of the first half but Rifles Agudzumegah drained a three pointer early in the third quarter to give Rifles a 25-24 lead and set the tone for a dominant third quarter that changed the scope of the game.

The slick Guard powered Rifles to a 36-25 lead heading to the final quarter delivering a couple of three point plays and three point shots to give Rifles a 45-37 victory.

Eccentric playmaker Appiah was the star of Coldstore’s 66-34 win over Tema Heat on the back of a quick start to lead 24-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Appiah was in supreme shooting form and rarely missed especially from three point range. His efforts were complemented by a couple of deep shots from Emmanuel Wolff and a rare three point conversion from Forward Kwame Bomah Djan.
