Tudu Magic Point Guard Ibrahim Mohammed has expressed his profound respect for departed Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi.
The young Guard made this known in an interview on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports in the lead up to the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament in honour of Baafi.
As a representative of the planning committee, Mohammed outlined instances that separated the former Greater Accra Basketball Association Chairman from others.
Mohammed stated, “He gave everything to develop basketball” ahead of the competition which runs from September 14-22 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The nine day competition will be held in Baafi’s honour for his immense contribution to basketball’s development in Ghana.
CAP 7 will highlight and celebrate the contribution of other prominent figures in the sport; 14 teams will compete in the tournament.
ABL teams including Teshie Rangers and Tudu Galaxy have been confirmed as participants in the Male division. Mohammed is a Tertiary Player of the Year nominee at the 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards.
