The maiden edition of the CAP 7 Tournament will commence on Thursday September 13 with the competition set up to honor fallen Ghana basketball giant Benjamin Baafi.
Benjamin Baafi was the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman and doubled as Greater Accra Basketball Association Chair prior to his demise little over a year ago.
The competition will run from September 13 and end on September 22 with the Lebanon House Court in Tudu hosting the event.
The tournament will have games between teams in various divisions in the male and female sects compete for various prizes from organizers.
Since his death last year, ex Chairman Baafi popularly known as “Capito”, has been honored by stakeholders in Ghana basketball.
Earlier this season, a minute silence was observed before league games were played and the same was done at the 2017 edition of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Baafi was recipient of the Dedication and Valor Prize at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards,
