West African nations Senegal and Mali clash later tonight in the final game of this year’s FIBA Africa Under 18 Championship in Bamako, Mali.

Both teams have breezed through the stages of the continental competition and end up in the final game with unbeaten records.

Senegal dispatched Egypt via a 91-82 victory in the first semifinal game played on Saturday, September 1; Egypt placed second at the last edition.

Host Mali beat Angola 84-59 in the final semifinal game and ending Angola’s quest for back to back Championship wins at the juvenile level.

Egypt and Angola will face off in the third place game at 16:45 GMT before the final game tips off at 19:00 GMT tonight.

Mali will be aiming to another Under 18 continental title over the past few months after its female side clinched a seventh title.

This year’s competition got off to a rough start as Ivory Coast pulled out of the competition at the last minute resulting in 11 teams participating in the tournament.
