The 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League season will commence on September 22 per reports reaching Basketballghana.com from management.
The new season is set to have games played at the Eusbett Court in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo Regional capital Sunyani with the opening round of games set to tip off in a the coming days.
Deadline for registering players ends on September 14 and the second window for registration starts on December 17 and ends on February 17, 2019.
Each team is expected to provide 300 Ghana Cedis as registration fee for the new season which has Suncity Braves as defending champions.
The first half the season ends on December 16; the second round commences on February 9 in 2019 and ends on May 18, 2019.
Through three editions of the competition, eight teams have participated but word reaching Ghana’s biggest hoops portal indicate plans are far advanced to add two teams to the roster.
Braves won last season’s title beating then defending champions University of Energy and Natural Resources to the crown.
