Host nation Mali and Senegal lead the pack ahead of quarterfinal games in the 2018 FIBA Africa Under 18 Championship due to end on Sunday September 2.
The West African nations remain the unbeaten teams in the competitions which had Ivory Coast pull out at the time of the draw leaving 11 teams in contention for the title.
However, following the conclusion of games at the group stage, the top duo leads the eight team roster for the start of the knockout phase.
Mali beat Democratic Republic of Congo 107-57 on Wednesday ahead of its quarterfinal matchup against Tunisia at 19:00 GMT tonight.
Mali has won all five games while Tunisia won one of four games in Group B; Mali topped Group A ahead of Egypt who had nine points.
Egypt takes on Rwanda while defending champions Angola go up against DR Congo in the third and second games today respectively.
The opening quarterfinal games has Libya taking on Group B winners Senegal; Senegal won all four games in Group B.
