Accra Basketball League (ABL) heavyweight Tema Youth will be making a return to competing later this week after quite a long absence.
The team has not been involved in league games due to changes in schedule following postponement of Ghana’s National Sports Festival.
Tema Youth returns with a tie against Adenta Leopards who were involved in a 61-51 win over DC Dynamics in the last round after the league recommenced.
Leopards rank third in the league with 22 points from winning nine of 13 games this season and a win against Tema is crucial to its position at the end of the regular season.
Tema is fourth, has 20 points from winning eight of 12 games and is in a three way battle for second place with Ghana Police Service and Adenta Leopards.
The trio falls behind runaway league leader Braves of Customs who are yet to be beaten this season; Braves hold a 2-0 series lead over Tema Youth.
Police and Braves have played 14 games apiece.
