West African nation Mali has clinched another African Under 18 Women’s Basketball Title after beating Mozambique 86-33 in the final game.

This year’s African tourney ended over the past weekend with a big scoring final as Mali clinched its seventh overall continental crown.

Mali did so beating Host nation Mozambique in what turned out to be another easy win for the record champions and book a spot at the 2019 Under 19 World Cup.

Mozambique qualifies alongside Mali ahead of third placed Angola and fast rising nation Rwanda who fell 46-59 to Angola.

Most Valuable Player Assetou Sissoko scored a game high 25 points for Mali with 11 rebounds and four assists in the final game win.

She headlined the Best Five at the competition with Mali teammates Aminata Sangare and Assetou Sissoko and Rwanda’s Bella Murekatete and Angola’s Alexia Dizeko.

Eight participated in the competition with Egypt, Cape-Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda filling out the remaining spots in respective fashion.
