Ghana Fire Service and DC Dynamics have clinched wins in games played earlier tonight in the Accra Basketball League (ABL).
Both wins were recorded at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with Fire clinching a 56-27 win over Dunk Basketball Club.
Fire’s victory came via an exciting tie that had both teams play aggressive in the hunt for the win which is crucial to the respective team’s positioning on the standings.
By walking away with fifth win in eight games, Fire’s point tally stands at 13 but the team remains in fourth place due to an inferior goal difference to third placed side Reformers of Prisons who have 13 points also.
Dunk put together fine runs in the course of the game but Fire’s improved depth ensured the side counter such good runs with a flurry of points to keep the young opponent at arm’s length.
At the end of the third quarter, Fire led 48-20 and maintained the double digit lead to clinch the win; Fire plays league leaders Ghana Police Service next on Friday August 24 at the same venue.
Reformers of Prisons beat Tudu Galaxy 50-40 on Thursday.
