Prior to the start of the 2018 3X3 West African Championship in Cotonou, Benin on Thursday, August 16, Ghana’s Female roster has been released.
Per reports reaching Basketballghana.com, the team is expected to move out of Ghana’s capital, Accra to Benin early on Wednesday August 15.
The competition will be played on August 16 and 17 with a host of West African nations participating in the two day event.
Places at the continental games are up for grabs in both male and female divisions and Ghana is hoping to secure one of the slots.
Balkisu Saleem, Georgina Adjeibea Ntow, Zenabu Mohammed and Naa Shika Moffat have been selected to represent Ghana at the games later this week.
The team is dominated by personnel from Ghana Police Service with Moffat being the exception; the latter plays for Tudu Galaxy.
Police leads Ghana’s premier basketball league-the Accra Basketball League- with an unbeaten record in eight games played thus far.
League action returns on Thursday after a break.
