Ghana will be represented at this year’s FIBA 3X3 West African Championship in the Male and Female sects later this week.

The two day competition starts on August 16 and ends on August 17 in Benin’s capital city, Cotonou with a bevy of nations from the Sub region taking part.

Reigning African champions Nigeria, Niger, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali and Ivory Coast are among the nations that will battle for a place at the continental stage.

Ghana’s Male roster is filled with young but experienced players from the Accra Basketball League’s Men’s Division I.

Ghana Police Service Guard Benjamin Debrah leads the charge with his ability to play both Guard roles a big plus on the team.

Mobile Forwards David Maja of DC Dynamics and Desmond Cobblah of Tudu Magic add length to the undersized group.

Godwin Tetteh formerly of Adenta Lopards rounds up the roster and like Debrah handles both Guard roles easily.

The team is set to leave for Benin in the coming days.
