Another round of games in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season will be affected by a change in the original schedule.

The league has announced August 16 as its date to recommence the league a full week before its planned date on August 23.

This is down to the late postponement of Ghana’s National Sports Festival for this year which happened a little over a fortnight prior to its opening day.

The multi sport competition was set to commence on August 12 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast but was called off last week.

The ABL went on a break several days before the announcement to allow players join regional teams and prepare for the games.

Due to the change, such plans have been affected and the new date is the result; this means fans will get to see their favorite teams and players in action earlier than expected.

The Men’s Division has had few surprises with defending champions Braves leading the division but Ghana Police Service has surprised many with its unbeaten run to the league summit.
