In the aftermath of the 2018 NBA Africa Game, Los Angeles Lakers Forward Luol Deng has lauded NBA President for Africa Amadoa Fall for his immense input.
The experience player made the statement on the sidelines following Team Africa’s 92-96 loss to Team World in the exhibition game.
Deng was featured in the game in what turned out to be his third straight appearance for Team Africa-NBA players of African heritage.
Seeing the sport and league popularity grow on the continent first hand, Deng was quick to praise Fall’s efforts in the development.
“A lot of people deserve credit for the growth of the Africa Game… Amadou has done a great job, as has the NBA just for putting the game together” he said to FIBA.com after the game.
He singled out the host nation for putting together facilities to host the games, stating “South Africa deserves a lot of credit for hosting and making people feel comfortable coming here”.
Deng is entering the third of a four year contract he signed with Los Angeles Lakers.
