Players representing teams in the NBA Africa Game have started arriving in South Africa for this weekend’s exhibition game.
The game will be played on Saturday August 4 in Pretoria, South Africa to climax a list of activities throughout this week including the Basketball Without Borders program.
Selected NBA players will suit up for Team World while NBA players of African descent will suit up for Team Africa for the third time.
2015 NBA Champion and Dallas Mavericks Small Forward Harrison Barnes has arrived in the Southern African country for the game.
He is expected to be joined by teammates including 2017-2018 Champion and new Los Angeles Lakers Center JaVale McGee.
Portland Trailblazers Forward Al Farouq Aminu has also arrived after featuring in last year’s edition which headlined by NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki.
This year’s competition is headlined by Africa Captain Joel Embiid and World Captain Hassan Whiteside who have had their share of on and off court spat.
The previous editions were held in Johannesburg in 2015 and 2017.
