Mali is in line to end its participation in this year’s FIBA Under 17 Women’s World Cup in ninth place after clinching its second win in the tournament.
The competition ends later tonight with France and USA set to battle for the gold medal and Australia and Hungary will compete for the bronze medal at 15:00 GMT.
For African representative Mali, the West African nation ensured its run ends on a high after clinching a close 66-64 win over New Zealand.
Results from games scheduled later in the day will determine the final position of Mali in the 16 team rankings for the 2018 competition.
In the past week, Mali beat Argentina 63-48 after missing out on a place in the quarterfinals following straight losses in the group stage.
Angola on the other hand, is set to finish among the bottom ranks following a 58-70 loss to host Belarus and a 44-49 loss to Colombia.
France is aiming for its first title while USA is aiming for its fourth World Cup gold medal.
