Through the opening stages of the 2018 FIBA Women’s Under 17 World Cup, Africa is yet to register a win in the competition.
Heading to the final day of competition in the preliminary stage, none of Africa’s representatives has clinched a win.
Both Angola and Mali have suffered back to back losses and are on the brink of exiting the tournament which is taking place in Minsk, Belarus.
Angola lost 43-81 to Australia in the opening game before falling 36-66 to Canada in the second game; the team plays Latvia at 13:00 GMT.
Mali played in the first game of this year’s tournament against China but lost 49-69 and suffered a beat down against USA; Mali lost 39-92.
The West African nation is preparing to take on Italy at 15:15 GMT; Italy need a win to guarantee them a spot in the next round.
There will be no games tomorrow to observe a rest day before the knockout phase tips off. This year’s tournament is due to end on July 29.
