Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s former club Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers is reported to be interested in signing NBA star Dwyane Wade.
The news broke earlier today during the three time NBA Champion’s tour of China as an ambassador for Sportswear Li-Ning.
Wade is a free agent after ending the 2017-2018 season with Miami Heat where he averaged 11 points primarily as a scorer off the bench.
He is yet to sign a new deal and has stated his situation “will take care of itself” prompting many to believe his time in the NBA might be over.
This belief has reportedly fueled Flying Tigers interest in the multiple All Star Shooting Guard who has featured for Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers since entering the league in 2003.
Bentil played for Flying Tigers briefly with his time in China lasting two months before heading to Europe to feature for RetaBet Bilbao in the Spanish top division.
The former Providence College Forward is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after his brief stint with Dallas Mavericks.
