Ghana Police Service are on a mission to win this year’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division title and its latest win confirms it.
The team was in superb form on Friday July 20 to record its ninth straight win at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in the final game in the division in the latest round.
Police recorded a huge 74-15 win over Dunk in the only game played at the venue; Tema Youth’s clash against Reformers of Prisons was called off due to administrative issues affecting the latter.
There was little doubt Police headed to the game with a lot of confidence as clear favorite to win the tie largely down to the contrast in form.
While Police is yet to lose a game all season, the young Dunk side has lost seven of eight games played this season and is yet ahead on the standings ahead of Galaxy who did not compete in the round.
Coupled with close rival Braves of Customs 46-32 loss to Fire Service, Police holds a five point lead Braves have played eight games.
